May 12, 2018 The AGM 2018 in Varel discussed the new European Data Protection Regulation. There is still a lot to do in this respect.
From 2019 onwards a online membership will be available.

The FAI medal was awarded to Harald Lützenkirchen.
Manfred Schollmayer received a special award for his many years as an auctioneer.
October 25, 2017 Irland – 1 € Ché Guevara stamp sold out
50 years ago this year, Argentinian Marxist revolutionary Che Guevara died.
To commemorate this event An Post issued this beautiful stamp which is based on the iconic image created by Irish artist Jim Fitzpatrick.
As early as mid of October the whole printed number of 122,000 stamps was sold out.
In the meantime it has been reprinted. The price on stamp market has been adapted downwards and the orders have been shipped. There is no difference to be recognised between both printings.
May 6, 2017 At the AGM 2017 the president and vice president as well as the treasurer have been re-elected without dissenting vote. As the new secretary has been elected Wolfgang Fiedler, as well without dissenting vote.

January 2014 Staff change: Hans Bergdolt, secretary from 2009 until 2013, has passed his task to HARFE-editor Richard Lütticken.

May 2009 At the 2009 Annual General Meeting of the FAI in Oberaula, Hesse, Hans Bergdolt was elected new Secretary of the FAI. In this office of the board he is succeeding Richard Lütticken who did not stand for office again.
